Raisa Carabott is the founder of Wedding Dance Malta - the dedicated wedding dance studio.
Still an active member of the Latin American Dance community here in Malta and abroad, Raisa's passion for dance sprouted an idea - An idea that would see her becoming a dedicated, highly-skilled and passionate wedding dance teacher with her own studio!
Raisa's specific focus on wedding dances meant that apart from representing Malta at the highest level both locally and abroad, she was now at the helm of opening her own dedicated wedding studio.
Inspired by a couple of her friends, Raisa's popularity as a dance teacher grew gradually, and today she boasts an impressive number of students, some of which have even committed themselves to learning the art of dance at Raisa's studio even after their wedding!
Having dedicated a significant portion of her life practicing Latin American Dance, Raisa feels that the art of dance is not just an art form - it's a way of life.
Raisa vents her emotions through dance and she continously tries to convey this message to her students. Rather than just showing up and putting on a show of technique, Raisa believes that each wedding dance should be unique yet emotion driven. Simply put, the first dance is a means of expressing one's love to another.
Having been a student of dance for over sixteen years, Raisa teaches her students that by instilling emotion into their first dance, then, and only then, can they truly achieve what they desire in their fairytale first dance.
The Wedding Dance Program was a concept instilled by Raisa which inspired numerous students of hers to contribute to the devising of the perfect wedding dance.
By allowing the soon to be wedded couple to pitch in their ideas, the wedding dance will contain professionally recognised techniques with unique personal traits. In doing so, many couples will find themselves actively involved in contributing to the development of the routine.
The Wedding Dance Program is therefore a set of steps Raisa will guide each couple through to developing the wedding dance.
